Writers Groups

If you are part of a writers group and would like us to supply a local tutor for a one off session, or you would like an author to come in and give a talk, then please feel free to contact us to discuss it in detail. Our rates are £75, plus the tutor fee, and we will take the time to find the right person for your group requirements.

Children's Story Pitch Event

A fantastic opportunity to pitch your children's fiction, whether short story, picture book or novel, to a select panel of children's agents and publishers.

There will also be the chance to gain valuable insights into the industry, learn first hand what publishers and agents want from writers and how best to submit your work.

Human Writes Poetry Workshop

Time: 10 am to 5 pm

 

Fee: £60/£45 conc.

Look at poetry in a new light - through the eyes of an immigrant in a strange land speaking a strange tongue.  Using poetic forms, discussions and issues to analyse poetry and to delve into unknown territory as a group and individually.

 

You will have the opportunity to create raw, fresh poetry using insights and examples from those who have fled their own countries or who write in English as their second language.  There will also be the chance to review your current work in progress and receive constructive feedback.

 

This workshop is in conjunction with the Human Rights Day.
