Manuscript Preparation
Since 1991 I have been offering a service for writers keying in documents from longhand or typed scripts to computer disk. I am not perturbed by difficult handwriting or untidy presentations. A draft is always provided, for a writer’s further working, and then a final print suitable for submission to a publisher or agent.
From time to time a writer has prepared his or her own manuscript and saved the work to disk, but found that the effort to tackle large amounts of editing, from the printed page back to the computer, is too arduous and time consuming. I am able to manage this task, regardless of the apparent enormity of the undertaking.
Throughout the years, I have also been transcribing cassette tapes - standard, micro, mini - and more recently digital voice recordings, on CDs or downloaded via the internet, punctuating and displaying this unforeseen work in an appropriate manner. Transcription has been undertaken for book manuscripts, lengthy articles for publication, interviews for research purposes, memories for public access and family archive, as well as commercial work, all of which bring a richness and experience to me as well as great satisfaction.
Throughout, I work very much with a writer rather than just typing a document. I handle fact and fiction and often sensitive material, and bring a professional maturity to each assignment. Needless to say, every piece of work is undertaken in a trustworthy, competent and strictly confidential manner.
