Young Illustrator's Competition 2008
It has been a lovely experience judging your artwork. Every picture has been creative and inventive. I have been particularly impressed with the use of colour and pattern in your compositions.
Some of you created excellent drawings whilst others produced artwork with more of an emphasis on the element of design. Some of your pictures have a lovely sketchy feel about them. Some have taken a bolder graphic approach.
I have enjoyed looking at all of your creations - the eccentric Aliens and jolly flying saucers, the delicate line drawings and the bold use of colour and form. All of the tiny details have been a great delight such as the army of ants and the patterns in the brickwork of the pencil drawn school.

Very strong use of colour and composition. Great design overall with a very decorative feel. Brilliant use of colour and pattern. The children's expressions are very well done. I particularly like the scaredy - cat teacher.
