iStock_Orange Room.jpgAnnette Longman has been the Chief Commissioning Editor for Austin & Macauley Publishers since it was created initially seven years ago.  Prior to that she had considerable experience over many years in other publishing houses specialising in the editorial sections where she was also Chief Editor. Her interests lie in detecting and choosing from the many submissions to the Company the most vibrant and interesting work.  She is also anxious to build up, and has already succeeded in so doing, a band of talented authors who produce a wide range of exciting and interesting and informative books which Annette believes will not only entertain the reading public but will encourage new writers to have a platform from which they may become famous.

Being herself a writer, under a pen name, of specialist non-fiction books for schools and colleges published by two very famous publishing houses, Annette knows too well the art of publishing from an author’s viewpoint, and is therefore particularly in tune with, and sympathetic towards her authors.  She also personally directs a publishing advisory consultancy for authors which give well-thought out but impartial guidance on writing for today’s market and on publishing matters. She believes this is badly needed in today’s competitive world, especially with the advent of e-books and their likely future impact on publishing.
