Young Illustrator's Competition Guidelines - Chapter One Promotions

Please read our guidelines carefully before sending us your illustrations.

• The entry fee is £5 for each drawing submitted.
• We accept cheques or postal orders. 
  
• No cash to be sent in with your drawing. 
  
• All cheques and postal orders must be made out to Chapter One Promotions.
• The prizes are: 1^st prize: £150, 2^nd prize: £75, 3^rd prize: £50.
• The winning illustration will appear on the front cover of the Children's Story Book.
• The top ten runners up will be published in the Children's Story Book alongside the winners from the Children's Story Competition.
• The book will be available to buy through our website and direct from Chapter One Promotions.
• Entries are welcome from all nationalities. 
• Overseas entries are welcome.
  
• At the back of your sketch please write the title of your illustration.
• Send your contact details - name, address, age, e-mail address (if you have one) and the title of your drawing - on a separate sheet of paper.
• Your name must not be placed anywhere on your drawing.
• All illustrations and drawings are non returnable.
• We only accept postal entries.
• For entries paid online, please state the date and time of payment on the sheet of paper with your contact details.
• All entries must be sent to Young Illustrator's Competition, Chapter One Promotions, Canterbury Court, 1-3 Brixton Road, London, SW9 6DE, England.
• Anyone up to the age of 18 years old may enter the Young Illustrator's Competition.
• If you are 18 years old, to be eligible for this competition, your 19^th birthday must not fall on or after the 1^st November.
• The deadline for the competition is midnight on Monday 31st October 2011.  Please send in your entry before or on this date.  Any sketches received after the deadline will be entered into next year's competition.
• Only the winners will be notified by post.
• The prize money will be issued within four weeks of a signed consent form and after a general research has been done to establish that the drawing is original and unpublished.
  
• For a list of all the winners, send a 2^nd class stamped addressed envelope to us marked 'Young Illustrator's Competition Winners 2011' and we will post the results out to you.
• The results will be available on our website on Monday 30 January 2011.
