'STARSEEKER'
by TIM BOWLER
Do you want a 5-star read? Pick up Tim Bowler’s ‘Starseeker’!
The novel is a book of contrasts – the harmony of the hero Luke Stanton’s gifted piano playing against the turmoil of his personal life.
After two years of grieving for his dead father, also a virtuoso pianist, Luke is still troubled and unable to cope with his new circumstances. He rebels constantly against his mum and her new boyfriend and regrettably becomes involved in the illegal antics of three local village boys. Their latest plan is to burgle the house of a rich widow and Luke is ‘chosen’ to be the one to steal the jewellery box they can see inside.
Luke is afraid of the bullying gang leader, Skin, who threatens him with physical violence – he wants results and Luke fears that Skin may actually kill for them! Our hero actually goes through with this mad plan but his actions open up a far bigger issue in the shape of a young girl. Why is she in the house and what is the old lady’s secret?
From daybreak to starlight – you won’t want to put this book down until the end!
