At Chapter One Promotions we pride ourselves on providing exciting and varied writing opportunities for both aspiring and established writers. We achieve this by offering a diverse selection of creative avenues to develop a writer further and to support new writing talent.
Chapter One Promotions enhances individual writers’ abilities by providing highly structured and intensive workshops led by experienced, professional authors and workshop leaders.
We offer a short story, manuscript and poetry critiquing service by those already established in the literary profession. Our readers will critique your work at every stage of the work-in-progress and through the constructive comments given will aid writers in making better decisions on improving their work for both publications and competitions.
Both the Poetry Competition and the International Short Story Competition attracts entries from writers not only wanting to be published but to win one of the substantial prizes on offer. In addition, we host the Children’s Story Competition and the Young Illustrator’s Competition for up and coming young writers and artists. Our Novel Competition takes place every two years and the winner is guided by an editor to complete their novel for publication.
For a fast, thorough and efficient service, our Proofreading Service will aid the overall presentation of manuscripts before being presented to potential agents and publishers.
For those who are interested in playing a major part in how their book will be produced, we have various options available for self publishing your manuscript, which gives the control over to you, the writer.
